Description
This course is intended for an operator, technician, engineer or programmer who must set up, teach, test, and modify Spot Welding applications and processes. Upon successful completion of this course, the student can identify the components of a typical Robotic Spot Welding system and software using the Servo Gun option. More specifically:
- Power up and Jog the Robot
- Recover from common program and robot faults
- Execute production operations
- Creation of TOOL, USER, and JOG frames
- Create, modify and execute a teach pendant program
- Perform file backups and restores
- Set up SpotTool and all related I/O
- Set up, operate and program the Servo Gun

Prerequisite:
- The FANUC SpotTool Operations & Programming with Servo Gun is an advanced course. This class is not intended for beginner students. It is designed for students who are proficient at programming robots, specifically FANUC or who have taken the FANUC Handling Tool Operation and Programming class. If you have not taken this class, or have limited FANUC experience, the outcome may not meet your expectations.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Electrical Safety Knowledge is preferred.
