This course covers the tasks a technician, programmer or engineer would need to accomplish in order to set up and use FANUC s Dual Check Safety (DCS) software. This class is specific to robots with version 7.5 and newer software
Prerequisite – The student needs to be familiar with teach pendant menus, jogging, frames, basic programming, and fault recovery of the robot prior to attendance in this class. Knowledge of HandlingPRO software is beneficial.
This class is not intended for beginner students. It is designed for students who are proficient at programming robots or who have taken the HandlingTool, ArcTool, or SpotTool class. If you have no experience programming robots, the outcome may not meet your expectations. If you do not meet the experience criteria for this class, you may want to consider attending the HandlingTool, ArcTool, or SpotTool class first.
Basic computer skills are required.
Electrical Safety Knowledge is preferred.

– Understand the DCS menus.
– Set up and modify DCS General parameters.
– Set up and modify position check functions.
– Set up and modify speed check functions.
– Create user models and DCS frames.
– Set up and modify DCS Safe I/O parameters.
– Recover from DCS alarm.
