Research & Development for the Future

The Research & Development Center was created to give public and private entities, that are engaged in research and development of robot/automation technologies, a location to conduct these activities. Two and four-year co-op students are encouraged to be utilized, like training, in this facility, as well as the employees and staff of the tenant entity.

  • Four (4) Client Suites, including internet access, phones, restrooms, and environmental controls
  • Each suite has raised access flooring in sectional panels, a common high bay with two large roll-up doors.
  • Each suite has access to our 0.9 mile outdoor test track.

Who can use the facility?

Criteria for facility use is as follows:
  • For an applicant to be considered for the use of the Advanced Technology Research & Development Center, they must meet certain minimum criteria.
  • The applicant must be a Research & Development project. It must also have a documented, approved funding source.

Each suite has the following:
  • Fiber
  • Ethernet
  • Power
  • 6,000 sq. foot control room
  • High-bay space
  • Large roll-up door
  • Carport/shed with plug-ups for vehicle information
  • Outdoor test/obstacle track, accommodates vehicle speed up to 40mph
