OSHA 10-hour Course

Course Description

This training program is intended to provide entry level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards that a worker may encounter. The topics covered are as follows:

  • Mandatory - 10 hours
  • Introduction to OSHA – 2 hours.
  • Walking and Working Surfaces, including fall protection – 1 hour. 
  • Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection – 1 hour.
  • Electrical – 1 hour.
  • Personal Protective Equipment – 1 hour.
  • Hazard Communication – 1 hour.
  • Elective - 3 hours  


Other Topics May Include: Hazardous Materials, Materials Handling, Machine Guarding Introduction to Industrial Hygiene, Bloodborne Pathogens, Ergonomics, Safety and Health Program, Fall Protection   Students will be provided a certificate of training and issued a student course completion card after successful completion of the course. This is a 2-day course. Per OSHA regulations, class will only be conducted if three or more people are in the class.  If less than three people, the class will be cancelled. Attendees will be notified five days before class starts if class is cancelled.
