Overhead Crane Operator Safety Training
This is an 8-hour course. Four hours are dedicated to classroom instruction and four hours are dedicated for hands-on instruction. The classroom portion of the course covers the following topics: Sources, Standards, and Regulations Classes & Type of Cranes Bridge/Gantry Crane Components Crane Accessories Crane Inspections Standard Crane Hand Signals Safe Crane Operations Rigging for Crane Operator There will be a written pre-test and post-test for this course. The hands-on portion of the class will involve a pre-operational check, followed by two circuits of the obstacle course without any major infractions. A major infraction requires the trainee to complete the course a third time. The hands-on portion will be done on our brand and type of overhead crane. Proper Clothing is required! No Shorts, No jewelry, No tank tops, No open toed shoes, sandals or flip flops! This is strictly enforced!
